Job description: A leading food industry is looking for Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities within our food operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing raw materials, packaging items, and consumables specific to the food industry, ensuring timely procurement while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Source and procure raw materials, ingredients, packaging materials, and other supplies required for food production.Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate prices, and establish long-term vendor relationships.Maintain optimal inventory levels and place purchase orders as per production demand forecasts.Ensure timely delivery of materials without disrupting the production schedule.Coordinate with the quality control and production departments to ensure material specifications are met.Track orders and deliveries, resolve any supply issues or delays.Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and inventory logs.Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company procurement policies.Assist in supplier audits and periodic performance reviews.RequirementsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Technology, or related field.2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the food & beverage industry.Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.Proficient in MS Office and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally).Good organizational and communication skills.

Expected salary: Rs.20000 – 25000 per month
