NEW DELHI, April 21: Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday emphasized the importance of encouraging students to develop innovative thinking and fresh ideas to contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India).

The event saw the presence of students, teachers, parents, alumni, and local dignitaries in a vibrant celebration of the school’s milestone journey.
“Students must not confine themselves to textbooks alone; they should strive to think creatively and introduce new ideas,” the minister said. He highlighted government initiatives like Digital India, Make in India, and Skill India, noting that such programmes are designed to empower the younger generation with the tools to lead and innovate.
“Knowledge is power—but only when it is effectively applied for the greater good,” he added.

He further underlined the relevance of Yoga and holistic health in shaping well-rounded individuals. “Yoga is not just physical exercise—it is a way of life that brings mental clarity and strength,” he said.
